I hope your "I won't reinstall" isn't set in stone. There are some problems that may require a reinstall in order to repair.

Are you using a local vault or the online vault? As noted above for the original poster, the Auto Login does not work for the online vault.

You might want to give the online chat a try. They are usually able to find a solution. You can find them here www.norton.com/chat

Hope this steps will work for Identity Safe issues.

First create a back up of all your login for I dentity safe  "ALL"

Then save it as a plain text and a .dat file meaning 2 back up.

After ceating your back up.

delete all the login on your online vault and local vault.

On your Norton restore all to defaut setting

also reset the setting of your Internet explorer

Restart your computer

create a Identitty safe and restore the back up.

Bloody solution.... "Yes" but it works

Sorry. I am lost now.

Identity Safe stores its' information in a local or online vault. If you are not using either, I do not understand your original problem.

It would not matter if you are logged in or not if you do not use the feature.

Identity Safe automatically saved login in a local vault the online vault is anothe option

When user start using identity safe a window will automatically pop up for user configuration

Identity Safe Toolbar support none 64bit web browser.

The only reason Identity safe would not work are:

incompatibility or web browser

As of now Identitty safe support

IE 7,8,9

Firefox 9.10.11.12

google chrome 11,12

The wb brwoser should be not 64bit
