I successfully installed Norton 360 on my new computer, but Identity Safe isn't working. I transferred my login and password information to my new computer using the export/import function. When I login to Identity Safe on my new computer, I see that the login/password information is there. I also uploaded my login/password information from my old computer to my Norton account and have tried to access it from my new computer.
When I try to use Identity safe on my new computer (even though I have logged in without seeing a prompt at the top of my screen), it doesn't work. No login/password information is filled in when I try to login to any account (such as my Hotmail account).
Thanks in advance for any help!

Patrick,
On your new computer have you tried to log into your online vault? If you cannot logon to it have your tried to create one?

Thanks, Dick, for your reply. I can login to my online vault and it appears to be in good order.
I've noticed that, when I do a Google search, the usual "ok Norton" does not appear next to approved Web sites. Is it possible that I have a bad install of 360? 360 seems to be otherwise working fine.

Can you see the Norton toolbar in your browser?
Is it possible that you are using the 64 bit version of IE? If so, that could be causing your problem, as Norton does not support 64 bit browsers.

Peter, I don't have a toolbar, but I may have opted out during installation. My "new' computer is actually an old computer which had 360 successfully installed in the past. (Needed my 3rd install for another computer for a short time). I since used Free AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials which, as far as I can tell, were sucessfully uninstalled before I reinstalled 360.

Hi Patrick55,
If you have opted out of the Norton Toolbar, then I believe the only way to bring it back is uninstall/reinstall. Please see this post by senthilkumar for more details.
The best way to reinstall would be to download and run the Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool.
Please remember to manually run Live Update, rebooting where required, until no more updates are available.
I hope this helps.
Dave.

The previous antivirus software would need to be fully removed with the removal tools from the companies involved.
You can find the AVG removal tool here.
Microsoft has a Knowledge Base article on removing Microsoft Security Essentials here.
