HELP I can't find norton in google chrome extensions

I know there been subjects on about this but i still can't solve this problem which is really frustrating because i wanna know that am safe and it's working. When i first got google chrome i had the norton in extension list but a few days ago i noticed that it wasn't there so I began to try doing things that i thought could fix this problem i tried reninstalling google chrome and updating norton but nothing worked i also kept on trying if there were shortcuts to find the norton on google chrome but there weren't any. So please could someone tell me how to get the norton back into the extension list.

Hi BlueDS15,

First, do you have the latest chrome version, you probably do if you've been re-installing it. The latest version is 19.0.1084.56. To check this, click the wrench icon in the upper right of the browser. Then click 'About Google Chrome'. If the browser is up to date, a small window with the version number I listed will appear. If you're not up to date, it will start updating you. After, relaunch the browser then restart the computer.

The extension if it is there, is here ... click Wrench Icon > Tools > Extensions. It should say, Norton Identity Protection 2012.5.4.6. To the right is the Enabled feature that should be ticked.

Is it possible the extension could have been accidentally removed ? To the right of 'Enabled', there is an empty area, that if you mouse over will display a trash can, that you only see if you mouse over it. If clicked, the extension will be removed from Chrome.

Also, is the browser running in Incognito mode by chance? That mode runs only with extensions you specify.

Question: Do you see an icon such as this in your browser, just right of the address bar? If so, click it and the toolbar will return.

Edit or addition to my last post.

I have never personally 'tested' removing the extension via the trash can next to Enable. So I don't know if Chrome would launch a warning or not.

I hope some of this helps. If not, there are others with a better understanding between the relationship of Norton products and the Chrome browser.

All the best.
