IDSafe question

[ Edited ]

I have a question with ID Safe: Can the cloud IDSafe remain logged in like the local IDSafe did?  Or do I have to log in every time?

Whenever I upgrade, I always like to do a clean install to prevent the previous version "interfering" with the newest version and having to re-install some time down the road, which means that I would lose the local IDSafe.

When in doubt, uninstall / reinstall :smileywink:

Re: IDSafe question

Hi,

Good to see you are aware of the changes in the 2013 product and preparing yourself before the upgrade.

To answer your question, NO - you cannot be logged into your Online vault all the time and you will be in logged in state untill you reboot the machine. This is mainly done for the security purpose and you cannot keep the vault open all the time. Instead, you can stay logged into your Norton Account all the time even after reboot by which you are bypassing the first login step and you are required to just enter the Vault password alone to stay logged in.

Regards,

Prasanna

Re: IDSafe question

What you call 'changes' I call a usability setback that will keep me from upgrading for as long as I can. That is a first for me, i assure you.

ID Safe is one of the set backs for me too.  I was hoping they would return local ID safe just before release but unfortunately they didn't.  :smileysad:

I hope they will add it by the next version release or "bug fix."  I'm holding off upgrading till then.  if it isn't broke don't fix it. :smileywink:

When in doubt, uninstall / reinstall :smileywink:

I agree! I am also VERY disappointed with NIS2013.
