Identity Safe Vault

I am wanting to set up my Identity Safe Vault but I have a question first.  My husband and I use a desktop where we both have separate accounts to log on to the desk top.  We both have an Identity Safe Account.  If I set up the vault for my account will he be able to set one up for his?  Will it affect his identity safe passwords?

Thanks in advance!

Jennifer

Re: Identity Safe Vault

Hi Jennifer,

I believe you are asking about the online vault, as you state that you have separate user accoutns and each of you have your own ID Safe Account.

Since the online vault is created through Norton Account, you can have only one online vault with one Norton Account, which is similar to a local vault that is associated with a Windows user account.

I am not sure if it is possible to create a second Norton Account as usually there is only one and that is associated with the email address and username of the individual who registered the program.

Hopefully someone can supply some more info in regards to setting up a second online account for a different user on the same system.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

Re: Identity Safe Vault

Hi Jenifer,

You can have two identity safe vaults(both online & local) and access it on the same machine using different windows account without any problems. One would not affect the other. Also as Bruce pointed out, you can have two different Norton accounts by creating a dummy Norton account apart from the one to which the product is tied up, that's not a problem. And no data corruption will happen when using two different vaults on the same account. You can also access one local vault and one online vault simultaneously in a single windows account.
