Identity Safe with Facebook and Twitter Login

Using Ie9. Some of these sites dont allow auto fill anymore. The username and password fields have a yellow box around them. Is it possible to solve this?

facebook

twitter

Both have this issue.

Welcome

There were some changes made to Identity Safe, and some web sites may use a different login coding than Norton is expecting.

If you find a site that does not work properly with Identity Safe, go to that site, click on the Identity Safe link on the Norton Toolbar in your browser. Then click Report Issue. This will bring the web site to the attention of Norton staff so they can produce an update to the definition files.

Hi Utopia,

Welcome to Norton Community.

Can you just check if the toolbar is enabled in your IE9 browser? Do you face this issue only with IE 9 or any other browser too?

Autofill feature works fine for Facebook and Twitter sites.

Regards,

Prasanna

Re: Identity Safe with Facebook and Twitter Login

Let us know what Norton product you are using, and what version   Support - About.

To see if there is something wrong with your installation, from your main Norton user interface, click on Support - Get Support. This will run Autofix which checks your installation and fixes what it finds.

Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.

Re: Identity Safe with Facebook and Twitter Login

I have used the report function. Perhaps different geo facebook servers have different login restrictions. So the same url may look different dependant based on location. Im in the UK.

This is a brand new install but the same issue happened before I rebuilt my PC. It used to work on fb but then they changed the login screen. In my experience any login screen that has this yellow box highlight will not work with 360.

In answer to previous queries: All up to date.

Norton 360

Version 6.2.1.5

Did you try the Autofix suggestion? Even with a new installation of software on a Windows computer there can be glitches.

Re: Identity Safe with Facebook and Twitter Login

Hi,

Can you post the URLs that you are going to which are not auto-filling? Thanks.

twitter was a problem but seems ok now and the design of the login box has altered.

facebook still has this yellow box around the text entry, twitter had a blue box round them but they seem to have gone again.

Re: Identity Safe with Facebook and Twitter Login

I just tried installing N360 6.2.1.5, ran Liveupdate and rebooted until there were no updates left, and could not reproduce your issue. When I went to http://en-gb.facebook.com/ the login was auto-filling and the box was green-colored. Can you make sure you have LiveUpdated and rebooted until there were no patches available? Thanks.

Albert

Ran live update. No updates found.

Still it doesnt work. Is it possible that going to that url is still different for you being that your from I assume another country?

When I select on the site it gives me the option to ignore the site so I assume it is currently not ignored.

I have chrome frame installed on IE9 Would that make any difference?

Do you see the yellow box surrounding the login text boxes like in my screenshot above?
