Comcast Norton 360 subscription expired, so I uninstalled and installed new Identity Vault version 2012.6.03 and tried to import the 360 version back up into the new version. The backup will not import, as it says
"Unable to open the file for import. Either the incorrect password was used, the file is corrupt, or the file has an unsupported format"
I read that there is a solution being worked on back in May of this year, but need those passwords as soon as possible, so is there a workaround? There should at least be an online converter that converts the old data to the new format. Maybe that would be a better solution than trying to make a built in converter.

Hi JohnDSeattle63,
Comcast Norton Security Suite does not expire - you have a license for as long as you remain a Comcast customer.
By Identity Vault I will guess you are talking about the offering fincluded with Constant Guard Protection Suite. If not please, give us more info on the exact program you are running (a link would be nice).
As far as NSS (and the ID Safe backup file goes. If it is from the older version 5 it is stored in .npm format. The newer version 6 is stored in .dat format. Itis my understanding most password managers can not import the .npm format and that is one reason Norton changed the format for version 6. When you have version 5 installed, and upgrade to version 6 the old .npm data should be transferred and converted to the .dat format for the version 6 install.
Please come back with more information in regards to your subscription expiring. It is possible to locate a version 5 download, and may be possible to install on your system, import your saved ID Safe data into it and then upgrade to version 6 and get it converted to the .dat format.
We'll be waiting on your response.
