Is there any way of keeping Norton 360 V6 Identity Safe logged in all the time? Even when restarting the PC? There is no option to check a box to not ask for a password. All was fine with V5, Then V6 installed itself one day, (didn't realize it was set up for auto install). Now, after 2 rounds of phone discussions and remote control events with the support department, nothing was fixed.
V5 stayed logged in. V6, I have to log in every time I start the PC.
Any suggestions?
Also, how can I get rid of the gadget thingy. It keeps coming back even after uninstalling it.
Thank you.

I do not have N 360 V 6 installed yet, but I do believe there is an option under Settings > Identity Protection > Identity Safe Password and Security > Configure. In bottom part of the next page, you need to check mark "No password needed. Automatically log me in when Windows is stated" I also believe this is the same as it was in N 360 V 5.
If you are talking about the Windows (Vista) Gadgets, see this atricle:

Please keep us posted.

I have gone through all of the menus in V6, and it seems that there in no menu setting for "No password needed', or anything even close to that.
As for the gadget thingy I mentioned, it was the Norton gadget thing that I'm trying to eliminate, not the Windows gadget.
thanks.

Hi rlemoine002,
In V6, We have "No Password needed " option only for local vault and this option will not be available for Online vault because we need to login to Online vault to synch the data from cloud when windows starts
Please check whether you are using local vault or Online vault.

Well, I was set up on the Cloud, and NOT local. I saw where I could create a local accunt and did that. Now, is there an easy way to import all of my saved info to the local account. When it asks for a location, I don't know what to put down. It is looking for a place on my C drive.

I want to apologize to everyone for trying to assist without having the actual N 360 V 6 installed on my system. I do have NSS V 5 on one system and also NIS 2012 on another system. The setting I am referring to is availabe on both NSS V5 and also NIS 2012, so I figured it would also be available on N 360 V6 (as it is also a 2012 product). It just didn't make sense to me that it is available in NIS 2012 but not N 360 V6. Of course that only holds true for the online vault - I keep forgetting about that being available in N360 V 6. Another good question to inlcude when troubleshooting situations.
I'd also like to thank Senthill for the links. Not having V6 installed I was not aware of the addtional Norton gadget placed on the desktop. I will have to check it out once I get NSS V 6 installed. This may also explain why I did not understand another post by DickEvans re: different colors for our safe??

Yes, We can import identity safe data from online vault to local vault. First export your data from Online vault and login to local vault then import the data which you have exported from online vault. Follow below steps to export and import your data from online to local
In the Norton 360 main window, click Identity, and then click Manage Identity Protection.
Under Identity Safe, in the Export Data row, click Configure.
In the Export Identity Safe Data window, select the File Format.
You can select one of the following:
Identity Safe Backup Format
Plain text
In the Export my data to box, type or browse to the location to which you want your data saved.
Type the name that you want to assign to the file.
If you want to back up your data with a password for more security, type and confirm the password.
Click OK.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
In the Norton 360 main window, click Identity, and then click Manage Identity Protection.
Under Identity Safe, in the Import Data row, click Configure.
In the Import Identity Safe Data window, under Import my data from, select one of the following options:
Portable Profile (Drive: Drive:\)
This option appears only if you connect an external drive with a portable profile.
Local Profile
Select this option if you want to import the Identity Safe data from your local vault to online vault. This option appears only if you are logged in to your online vault.
Backup File
If you select this option, you must type or browse to the location of the file from which you want to import the data.
If you backed up your data with a password, in the Password box, type the password.
If you want to import the data from a backup file, under While importing data, select one of the following options:
Merge with existing data
Replace existing data
Click OK.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Thanks,
