Well, I don't use another program for password management, so I don't believe that's a solution for my computer. ~ Philafilly

POSSEHL is the one who suggested to 'Allow' the plugin. I couldn't remember whose post I read, but it was the post made by POSSEHL. Since doing this, I no longer, (at least so far), have the crash at the banking site. So far, so good.
As far as a password manager, I don't use one. I use Identity Safe for all of my logins, whether it's my secure accounts or general membership sites like Norton Community.

Update to the last few post I made on the Norton Confidential plugin.
Everything was working just fine until a few minutes ago. When going to my banking site, the plugin crashed for the first time in a week
Oh well.
I'm going to be stubborn and still leave the 'Allow' checked for the plugin. For me now, like others, allowing the plugin no longer works. At the same time, I simply don't want to disable it. My banking site is the only site out of hundreds I've been to using Chrome that crashes.
For me it's not a major problem. I'll simply go back to the way I did things before and go to my bank using IE. No problem there. When done, I'll close IE and open up Chrome. That's my personal work around.
I wanted to come back and post this, since so many are having problems with the plugin. It's good we keep this open until there's a fix ![]()
Have a good night.

Hello! I am new here.
Everything was fine until yesterday, when my Norton Confidential start to crash in Chrome, but only on the sites with Java applets, pop-ups, etc. Plugin works fine until I start Java on such sites. Then it crashes, and I have to switch plugin off, and keep working with Java. So there is a Java's related bug.
I have Vista 32 bit (reinstaled recently), SP2, Chrome, Norton Internet Security 2012, and all upgrades for above programs.

This problem just started happening for me 2 days ago, right after my kids updated to the most recent version of the game Wizard 101 and started playing. Does anyone know if the problem has any connection to Flash Player or any games like this, or is it just a coincidence? Prior to the other day, no heavy gaming was being run on this PC. I haven't yet tried to uninstall Wizard 101 yet, but I'm tempted. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

hey I am getting the exact situation... have you found any resolve to this yet?

Actually the only time it does this to me is when I am in Yahoo Mail... Is that odd?
I use:
Google Chrome/Windows 7/Norton 360

It seems to me, that plugin is totally unstable. Again I tried various sites with Java and Flash too, and plugin crashes mostly with Java (not in every case, but almost in every case), and one or two times it crushed with Flash. But with Java there is a certain solution. I don't know how it is in english version of Chrome because I have polish one. When I visit the pages with Java, and I have selected option for automatically loading of Java always on those pages, the plugin always crashes. So I unselected that option, and every time when I visit pages, Chrome asks me if I will allow to load Java at that time. I allow just for one visit (not forever!), then Java is being loaded, and Norton plugin works fine. Of course this is temporary solution, and I hope, somebody fill fix this problem permanently.
