Perhaps. As a possible fix download, install and update Malwarebytes free scanner found here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free it's Norton compatible so you can keep it on the desktop for use whenever yo feel the need.

I've been having the exact same problem ever since installing Norton 360 2 wks. ago!!!  I'm continually getting a pop-up box saying that Norton Confidential has crashed.  Would I like to stop it? Yes or No  It's actually starting to really p*ss me off cause I'm continually have my laptop freeze everytime.  It literally takes me 20mins to do what it took me 1min if that to do before I installed Norton 360!!!  In fact it just crashed on me 3 times in a row while I was trying to collect seeds on Pot Farm for Facebook and now the little Norton box on my desktop is saying "Needs Attention"  I'm running a Full System scan as I speak to see what's going on.  Some of my friends' are telling me to buy another Anti-Virus and delete Norton and to be honest I'm very much considering it cause it's annoying me so much.  My dad ALWAYS buys Norton Anti-Virus every year, we've never used another one in all these years cause normally we've been very happy with it as it works fine although normally my dad's only ever bought Norton Anti-Virus 20__ this is the first time he's purchased 360 for us to use and he only got it to try cause it was on sale, well I have to say BIG MISTAKE!!!  The stores could have it priced down to 1 cent and I don't know if I would buy it again just cause of the headache it's causing with Norton Confidential supposedly crashing all the time. I am so beyond frustrated, every time I try to open more than 1 tab, it bloody freezes, so I'm sorry Norton but you are very close to losing a longtime, loyal customer if this issue is not resolved SOON!!!!

It happens when we are in the games in Facebook. It locks up and tells us that Google Chrome not responding due to Norton Confidential Plug in has crashed and also that a Skype plug in also has crashed

After upgrading to Norton 2012 Internet Security Norton Confidential crashes in my Chrome browser when trying to print a shipping label via eBay (it uses Java to produce the lables).

At this stage of the year is ridiculous that this issue has not been fixed since the internet security release.

I am a Norton user since 2010. Apart from sometimes system slowness I was quite happy, but thanks to this Internet Security Norton has made my internet browsing experience a real pain. Norton Confidential continuosly crashes without any pattern and at any moment. The tip of the iceberg was reached two days ago when I called bank helpline, they sent me an email while on the phone and due to Norton crashing had to reestart everything.

Norton, this issue was addressed and May 2012 is not solved. We have to pay for your software that brings a lot of issues without resolution. You have lost a client and I am gaining a better internet browsing experience

So I'm using Norton safe Web, which came with my Norton 360 Premier Edition v5 (which i've already upgraded to v6), for my IE 9 and Google chrome. Problems iare

 When I'm on Chrome, Everything seems so slow, and then suddenly a pop-up appears stating "Norton Confidential is not responding. Would you like to stop...". When I click on No, Google Chrom crashes. When i click Yes, everything back to normal except for a baloon on top of the windows saying Norton Confidential has crashed.

When I'm on IE, it every web page I visit while Norton vulnerability Protection and the toolbar is displayed and enabled, reloads because it is not responding. When I disable it, IE works as smooth as silk. And starts fast also.

Any solution please? I've reinstalled using NRnR already and no improvements.
