Norton Safe Web "Full Report" Not Opening

This is a repeat post from the Norton Internet Security/ Norton Antivirus discussion section which may be the wrong forum as it seems to be getting"buried" unanswered there.

I have read about Norton Safe web icons not showing but I have something different. I have XP SP3 IE8 NIS 2012 and use Google. The green Safe Web icons show correctly against each Google search result but if I attempt to open the "Full Report" either from the icon or from an open web page it will not connect. All was fine until a couple of days ago and when it first happened I checked on my wife's Win7 IE9 laptop also and found it didn't connect there either. I have Norton on that computer also (one of the 3 allowed with my subscription). For this reason I took it to be a glitch at Norton's end which would eventually sort out but I still get it today and so does my wife's laptop. Some times It shows the blue circle attempting to connect and open the page which stays blank but when I see it's not going to happen I close it other times it shows the message "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" on both and that is with IE8 and IE9. I have no problem opening any Web page other than Norton Safe Web's Full Report.

I don't see why this should happen with different operating systems and different versions of IE. Does anyone know if this is a known issue at the moment?

I am also having this problem Norton's Safe Web will Not Open to give any Full Report's! Is this with both XPsp3 and Window's 7 O S's? I wonder and I have IE8, I wonder if Norton is aware of this problem?? Thanks.......Best......Gorpy1

Same thing here and probably with others. It doesn't matter if I use IE or Chrome, my preferred browser, Safe Web site will not open. There's nothing wrong at my end, I know that. This has happened before at Safe Web in the past. It doesn't matter if I click the drop down menu options, far left on the Norton Toolbar, then click, Go to Norton Safe Web website. Safe Web doesn't open. It doesn't open for anything right now.

Clicking Norton Safe Web from within' my Identity Safe drop down same thing, doesn't open. Either from the Norton Toolbar or from any of the other Full Report buttons in search results, again same thing, Safe Web doesn't open. My neighbor confirmed this earlier today with his machine. Safe Web isn't opening right now.

Personally, this is not a big issue for me. It has happened before at the website. As long as my NIS 2012 is working properly, that's most important. Surf safe and keep watch on those site rating icons and don't go to the ones marked Caution and Malicious. Careful with the sites that are 'Untested'.

A few postings coming up now with the same problem with Safe Web. Glad to hear I am not the only one.

If Norton were unaware they should know now and hopefully do something about it.

For information - something strange happened. After my last posting I clicked Full Report for this Norton site and it opened. Thereafter I couldn't get it to happen again here or any other site I tried. So back to as we were for me.

I remember this happened back in 2011. Safe Web was down for a long time. I don't remember how long, but it was much longer than what's happening now. I also tried going there again a short time ago before this post, but like before, no Safe Web. Like in an earlier post, I'm not very concerned because it's a server or some other problem. Just practice safe surfing

Safe Web Full Report seems to be back for me now. I've tried about five sites and worked every time. Fingers crossed!

Hello, We had technical issues that caused the site to become temporarily unavailable. We have resolved the issue but also looking at providing a permanent solution. We should have an update in the next few days. Thank you for your patience.

Safe Web Full Report is back. Thanks to Symantec for addressing the issue
