I have Norton 360 ver 6.3.0.14 and run Microsoft Vista with IE9. I suddenly lost my Norton toolbar and it does not show up when I go to View -> Toolbars. How can I get it back or re-install it? I installed Norton from a download so don't have a CD to re-install it.

Hi jsinmco,
In IE 9 - go to Tools > Manage add-ons > Toolbars and Extentions and see if the Norton Toolbar is listed and Enabled. Also Norton Identity Protection and Norton Vulerability Protection should be listed and Enabled.
You can also check in IE 9 > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab and under Browsing be sure Enable third-party browser extentions is checkeed. You will need to restart IE 9 in order for this change to take effect.
Please let us know if these help..

you might also right-click on an empty space on the toolbar and see if "norton toolbar" is checked. mine got unchecked. got mine to re-appear however when clicking it to login to ID safe, i get a "system restasrt needed" message.
i wish i never "upgraded"

Adding to above suggestions,
If you have 64bit vista,it will have both 32 bit and 64 bit IE versions. Make sure that you are running 32bit version of IE9. You can find 32bit version of IE from here C:\Program Files(x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe Please launch IE from there and check if Norton Toolbar is working fine in 32 bit IE.
Thanks,
Senthil

Did this too and it is just not there.

The thing is... it was there until 2 days ago and I have not done any downloads, uninstallations, or anything else that would remove it. Whether I'm running 32 bit or 64 bit hasn't changed either. The odd thing is when I click on Support from within Norton 360, I see that toolbar but when I just go to IE from my start menu I don't. I like it there for the identity safe, which I use religiously!

Okay, I just tried running IE from the location you recommended and it is there so something must have changed my shortcut.. Perhaps an auto Windows update. Thank you!

I had that missing Norton Toolbar problem after installing IE9.
After three days of fooling around with this...I decided to go back to IE8 from IE9. Heck...all is well now. Give it a try!!!

My toolbar went away weeks ago. I was scanning this forum today and, after trying several fixes, I tried enabling the third party browser setting in the tools as you suggested and, voila, it's back. So is my Earthlink tool bar. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
