When I click to a site from say Google, the Norton 'Safe Web' says Google.com. For example:
I do a Google search for Starbucks, then in the search results I click on one of them to go to Starbucks.com.
Now I'm on Starbucks.com and I click on Norton's 'Safe Web' toolbar and it says Google.com is safe.
Even when I click on 'Full Report' it still says Google.com on Norton's site.
I'm using Google Chrome by the way, does that make a difference?

Can you post a screen shot of that?
I just tried a similar search and got the correct information using Firefox 13.0.1. I do not use Chrome, but maybe others can test this.
Instructions to post screen shots found here.
Also, what Norton product are you using, and what version? Support - About

Hi TradeHound,
I tried to reproduce this and couldn't. I also use the Chrome browser. I Google searched Starbucks and the rating for starbucks.com is a Verified Norton Secured Site. I opened starbucks.com in a new tab and the websites Safe Web feature also displays starbucks.com, Verified Norton Secured Site, not Google. When clicking Full Report and taken to Norton Safe Web, starbucks.com is listed at the site as a Verified Norton Secured Site, currently with 5 community reviews, again not Google.
Is there a chance you clicked a sponsored result or ad from Google ?
Thanks
Ed

Didn't see you there Peter, but I tested with Chrome with no trouble at all.

Thank you all for your help!
I attached 3 screen shots.
Also notice that I block Javascript and Plugins on Starbucks.com. I block those on all sites and specifically enable them site by site.
Here is the Google search results. When I hover the mouse over the Norton icon it shows Starbucks.com. So the first page is correct:
But notice when I actually click to go to Starbucks.com, Norton says Google.com.
I clicked on Full Report here to get this. Full Report still says Google.com:

Interesting outcome.
Does this happen with other search results?
Are you searching from a toolbar in the browser, or directly from Google.com?

@Peterweb
Yes it happens to all search results. I searched directly from Google.com.
Ok I just allowed Javascript and Plugins for Starbucks.com and it works correctly. I had to allow Plugins too before it worked.
I don't want to allow Javascript and Plugins for all sites. I think Norton Safe Web should work that way without the need for Javascript and Plugins on every site.
What do you think?

Now you figured it out, maybe someone can comment on this. Maybe someone has a solution.

Maybe if there was a way to enable Norton's plug-in for all sites (without having to enable plug-ins for all sites) it would work.
I can't find a way to do that in Chrome.
