Slow browsing unless Norton Toolbar is disabled

[ Edited ]

With the Norton Toolbar enabled, browsing most web pages is agonizingly slow. When I disable Norton, voila, no slowdowns or messages that a web page is not responding. What can I do to resolve the problem?

Welcome,
I think the first thing you can do is tell us more about your hardware and software. Just the basics so we can get a better idea of what we are working with. Also which security package are you running?

Thanks
