iPad2 ID Safe, no passwords

I can now access my PW vault on my iPad (although the whole process was tedious, and I have now lost my local vault on my PC - it is now in the 'cloud'), but when I tap an icon to launch a website from the vault, it leaves the ID and PW boxes empty. Kinda seems to defeat the whole purpose... Are others having the same problem? Norton's usually outstanding help desk referred me to this forum, said they couldn't help.

Welcome

When you create an online vault, the local vault on your PC is deleted.

On your PC, when you log into Identity Safe, you have to look at the bottom area of the log in screen and log into your Norton Account. Then log into Identity Safe using the same password you are using on the iPad.

Once you get access to your log ins, be sure to backup/export them to a safe place on your PC or a thumb drive. That way if there are any issues with the online vault, you will be able to re create the online vault or create a new local vault.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.

Re: iPad2 ID Safe, no passwords

I AM able to access my vault on the iPad. Or at least I can access all of the web sites in the vault. However when I click on a link to open a website, that website opens correctly, but nothing is filled in for the ID nor PW. Thanks.

Does this apply to all your logins or to some of them? If it's working for some, please send us the URLs of those that are not auto-filling on your iPad. Thanks.

Re: iPad2 ID Safe, no passwords

I have the same problem.  All of the sites I sign into show up on my IPad but not one of over 100 includes a password.  I updated my vault from Norton Internet Security 2012.  Passwords do populate website on my PC and they are online in my Norton Identity Safe account.

I have exact same problem and no one at Norton has any idea what to do! This product is seriously flawed. Dd not expect this of Norton/symantec

Re: iPad2 ID Safe, no passwords

I managed to get Identity Safe installed on my iPad, but I too cannot get it to fill in any passwords. Even after the message that it cannot auto fill the username and password, tapping on the username and password field and tapping Fill Username or Fill Password does not work. Right now it is just a bookmark feature.

Hi All,

We are aware of this issue and are reseaching this internally. Obviously this should not only be a bookmark app ;). We'll let you know once we have an update. Thanks for your patience.

Re: iPad2 ID Safe, no passwords

If you are aware of this problem, why has it taken so long to let us know? Why hasn't the app been removed from the store until it actually works? Why do we have to waste hours trying to get it work, contacting Norton Support (who have no idea there is a problem), and then searching through the forum, and only THEN finding out that the app isn't working. I have been using Norton for so long that my first copy came on a disk. I have come to expect much better than this from you. VERY disappointing. In the meantime, I have found LastPass, which actually does do what it says it will. Unfortunately, it doesn't accept an export from Norton, but at least it works.
