Hi Norton for Mac Users,
I’m pleased to announce that we will soon be launching Norton Together for Mac. This new initiative enables users to provide NIS or NAV for Mac in new languages to other users.
How Does it Work?
Users can NOW login to Norton Together, choose the product and language they are interested in and start translating the NIS or NAV User Interface. Once a project gets to 100%, that language is then made available for free to other users.
Once the language pack is released, anyone with an up to date product can download and install them!
If you only speak English, you can still give us valuable feedback on the usability, comment on the look and feel, report any bugs or tell other users who may be able to contribute.
If you want to try it out, you can already start translating. If your language is not available, just request it here!
What will be the first language available?
PS. Screenshots and tutorials coming soon.
Thank you.

As promised, here is how it works!
1. Log into or sign up to Norton Together. All you need to provide is your desired username, a password, choose the languages you speak and agree to the Terms and Conditions. You will then receive an email to confirm your signup.
2. Choose the product and language you are interested in by selecting Add/Remove Languages and Add/Remove Projects or Add Projects Now in My Norton Together
2. a) Select the available Mac projects
2. b) Select the languages you speak
3. Providing your language is available, all projects for translation into the languages you speak will be displayed in
My Norton Together. You’re all set! Now start translating the NIS or NAV User Interface by selecting Translate, then Add New Translations
4. Enter your translation into the field Enter Translated Text and make sure you click Save Translation. You can also move on to another segment by selecting Skip This Translation. Once you're done, select Finished. You can always come back to this project at a later stage when you want to work on it again.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. You can also take a short video tour on Norton Together here
We look forward to hearing your feedback.

Very exciting! I can't wait to begin translating. I am sure this project will help increase the number of NAV and NIS users.
Can you please enable Turkish? It is in the languages list but not yet enabled I think.

Saner,
Great to get the feedback. We have now enabled Turkish for both NIS and NAV for Mac. You should see it next time you login.
Thanks!

Hi saner,
Wow, Turkish is completed to 99%. Thanks for your contribution!!
Everyone,
we have a long list of languages available for Norton Together. So if you want to get involved, let us know which language we should enable. List of all languages will follow shortly.
Regards,

Hi saner,
See answers to your queries below:
DO NOT translate:

Can be entirely or partly translated:
Norton Service - translate Service
LiveUpdate Agent - translate Agent
Norton/Symantec Installer - translate Installer
Symantec Uninstaller - translate Uninstaller

Hi Susanne,
Thank you for the answers. Here are a few more questions.
Which ones are to be translated?
AutoBlock
AutoSetup
the Self Test
DeepSight Community Submission
DeepSight
Community Download
Auth 1
Auth 2
Auth 3
Client Firewall
How is this going to continue: "Automatically delete locations that have not been used in"? With a time frame such as "3 weeks"?
Apple HTTP QuickTime Buffer Overflow Blah?? (in NIS)
Why is "All Event" not "All Events" in NIS (Mac) 5.0?
For "All other Connections", I kept capital C equivalent capitalized as "Tüm diğer Bağlantılar". Is it correct?
What about these "DENTCR", "DENT_TM", "DENT_HORIZONTAL_ELIPSES", etc.?
"About Norton DeepSightDENT_TM Community" = Should I translate Community here? Where should I keep "DENT_TM"? "Norton DeepSightDENT_TM Community Hakkında" or "Norton DeepSight Community DENT_TM Hakkında"?
Norton Firewall is a product name but I translated all other "firewall"s to Turkish as "güvenlik duvarı". Should I translate Norton Firewall to Norton Güvenlik Duvarı in order to keep consistency? I guess not, but asking won't hurt.
What is "0k" in NIS (Mac)?
In "(*1) all computers to access \"(*2)\" on my Mac" or "(*1) the computer \"(*2)\" to access (*3) on my Mac" (NIS), what are those *1 and *2 going to be replaced with?
Thanks in advance :)

Hi saner,
great questions :) Here are some answers already:
Can be translated
AutoBlock
AutoSetup
the Self Test
Community Submission
Community Download
Client Firewall
Do not translate
DeepSight - product/feature name
Question: "Norton Firewall is a product name but I translated all other "firewall"s to Turkish as "güvenlik duvarı". Should I translate Norton Firewall to Norton Güvenlik Duvarı in order to keep consistency? I guess not, but asking won't hurt"
>>Answer: Firewall can be translated, so to keep it consistent, do use güvenlik duvarı or Norton Güvenlik Duvarı throughout.
Question: For "All other Connections", I kept capital C equivalent capitalized as "Tüm diğer Bağlantılar". Is it correct?
>>Answer: As a general rule you can keep capitals where you find them in the source text
I will need to check your other queries with the team and will try to get some screenshots for context.
Cheers,
