Just purchased NAV 12 and when I try to install, I get the message that it can't be installed on my hard disk due to an incompatibility with already installed security software that already installed (McAfee internet security).
The problem is I'm not running this and when I type McAfee into my search, the only results I get are e-mails that have the word McAfee in them. I'm running OS 10.7.2
Any suggestions

Hi Puffinrandy,
You possibly can check for mcaffee files on locations that not allways show up in Spotlight.
Check for those Locations:
Macintosh HD\Library\Caches
Macintosh HD\Library\Launchagents
Macintosh HD\Library\Launchdaemons
Macintosh HD\Library\Startupitems
Those Folders are sometimes also Available in your Home Folder (User Folder)
There you can find all the Files that launches with you MacOS X
Kind Regards.

The NAV installer is specifically looking for any of these paths when checking for McAfee Internet Security on the target drive:
/usr/local/McAfee/Firewall/bin/FWService
/usr/local/McAfee/AntiMalware/VShieldScanner
/usr/local/McAfee/SAFM/bin/SiteAdvisorFM
/usr/local/McAfee/SiteAdvisor/bin/UninstallSA.sh
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.mcafee.ssm.ScanManager.

Thanks for the suggestions, Dunne... just went looking through the places you said, but nothing there with McAfee in the name.

Since we posted about the same time, I'm guessing you were not responding to my suggestion. LaunchDaemons was covered, but you may still need to check for /usr/local/McAfee
