Norton for Mac

I have bought and downloaded NIS (ESD). When I select the installer it runs for a couple seconds and then stops - installing nothing. I am running osX 10.7.4 and have downloaded NIS for Mac, Version 5.3. I had a previous version of Norton but ran the removal tool before trying to install this version. I have also downloaded it twice - just to make sure it was not corrupted previously. Please help anyone. thx Charles

Sorry for the problems. Can you please give us a couple more pieces of information:

1. Can you please post a screenshot of what the installer looks like when it stops?

2. Can you please run Gather Symantec Info before insatlling? Steps can be found here: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH134761

3. Can you please send us the installer log file from /var/log/installer.log?
