Hi guys!

So apparently, NIS5 and NAV 2012 was realased for Mac products today! (Yay!) However, do we still get the discount we were promised when we signed up for the notification list?

Never mind, found out how!

However, my virus protection seems to be off in my NIS 5 subscription. When I press the button to enable it, it just turns off automatically within a second? What should I do?

And I figured it out again.. it enables after running liveupdate

Glad you figured it out!

FYI for others, the software does not ship with virus definitions.  It's necessary to update the software (via Live Update) to get the initial (current) set of virus definitions, before the AntiVirus software can be enabled.

I would also like to know the secret on how to get the discount., I did the e-mail noifty when norton internet security 5 is available but I never recieved the email about a discount., I already purchased it this morning but no discount.

I signed up too, but also didn't receive an email notification.  Symantec probably hasn't sent out the emails to everyone yet.

Okies, to receive the discount, on the Symantec website, select Upgrades in the Store tab. Choose your current product for Mac and submit. There should now be a renewal license for 39.99 for NIS 5.
