How Much Longer, Please?

[Take caution, please. I did not see if my question is already answered. My Norton software is Old.] How much longer will Norton / Symantec support Norton Antivirus for Mac v10.1.2 from 2005? I feel that I have withdrawn from this Corrupt _&_ Bankrupt nation. [Those 2 "upt"s I like.] Upgrade, Upgrade & Upgrade. I as one say, "Poop!" By the-way, Norton Antivirus _never_ has found a problem with my Mac. I've used NAV more than 10-years. Simply, like the sense of Security in this un-safe world. Thank you.

Re: How Much Longer, Please?

Since NAV 10 and NAV 11 use the same virus defs format, you'll be a able to update defs until the NAV 11 ones are discontinued.  I don't know exactly when that would be but I'll try to find out.

Re: How Much Longer, Please? [Yeah!]

I consider myself Lucky, Lee_G, that the format of viruses is un-changed from v10 to v11. That happily delays my decision to go-out & buy a new Mac. [I feel so-sorry, Barack. Not! :-) ] My older Mac G4 _still_ has sufficient ability. [640 MB of RAM helps, me greatly.]

Re: How Much Longer, Please? [Yeah!]

Hey Lee_G, my Macintosh G4 might be Old, I _grant_ you. My copy of Norton Antivirus for Mac v10.1.2 from 2005 expired earlier in March. :-( But when NAV _tries_ to re-new itself automatically, I see the page, "Norton Upgrades and Renewals | Norton Store". Then I choose Norton Antivirus under Renew Your Subscription. (All is Good, so-far. But ... ) Once I select Norton Antivirus for Mac, I see No-way to advance beyond Renew Your Subscription. (Where there _should_ be a button to advance, all I see is Blank Space.) So I ask you Lee_G, is there another-way to keep Norton Antivirus for Mac v10.1.2 up-to date, please? As my browser I use Apple's Safari v1.3.2 from 2005. [Poop on Upgrade, Upgrade, Upgrade! My money is too hard-won to part-with easily. There, I vented my feelings & I feel Happier. :-) ] P. S. H E L L O ? :-)

Re: How Much Longer, Please? [Yeah!]

Sorry, subscriptions for NAV 10.1.2 are no longer supported.  Keep in mind, there have been 2 major releases of NAV since your product was current, and it is impossible for us to automatically update products indefinitely.

You'll need to get updated defs installers here if Live Update is no longer getting them:

Since your G4 is a PowerPC computer, use the zip file from the lower section on this page.
