Norton for Mac

My idle time scans have been cancelled.  I can manually scan.  The automatic scans don't seem to be working  All settings are defaults.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.  I am usinf internet security 5 for MAC  and runniong OS X 10.7.3

Can any one help?  Can't seem tpo get customer service

The idle-time cancelled message just means that you system did not stay idle long enough to scan all your data.  Whenever it cancels, it does go back into a mode where it checks for new idle state.  Perhaps you have some automatic task that periodically triggers and makes the system too busy for idle scan to complete.

This should have no effect on the other automatic scans, External Disk and Automatic File Scanning.  But you won't see any indication of those unless they encounter an issue.
