Norton anti-virus on my Mac keeps reporting various files in the format "228950.emlx" as infected. I take the option to delete the file but Norton then reports "unable fo fix problem. I can't seem to find the files by using finder so have no idea how I can deleted these supposedly infected file. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi JohnLipscomb,
What information do you see in the virus detection logs?
To view the virus detection logs, Launch Norton AntiVirus and click on the View history and select the filter Virus Detections.
You should be able to see the virus detection log list under the detected period. On the search bar type 228950.emlx to filter the specific item. Doubleclicking the item will open the Inspector info and show the file path as Scan Path
The file may not be deleted if either the file or path is read-only. Please post if you have any questions or problems.

I have found a "View Recent Activity" and can see the problem was detected 16 Times on one day alone.
My problem is, how to I solve the reorted infecytion, if I cannoty delete the file?

OK, I suppose you might be using Norton AntiVirus 11. Were you able to identify the path of the infected file? What error message do you see when you try to delete the file manually from Finder? Is the file located in a portable disk/USB?
