Would someone from Symantec support inform me after installing NIS 5 on my iMac, should I leave Apple's firewall turned on or should I turn off Apple's OS X firewall? I read in NIS 5 online help documents saying NIS 5 fire wall port scan feature won't work if Apple's firewall is turned on. Is this true? If so should Apple's fire wall be turned off while running NIS 5 which includes its own firewall features? Thanks....

Once you run the Norton Internet Security setup assistant, the Apple Firewall is disabled automatically. Certain features of our fireall and Apple's firewall are not compatible, and you will end up receiving multiple alerts in some cases which will clearly be annoying.
Our firewall covers all teh functionality of Apple's firewall and more, so there is no point in keeping both enabled.
