Norton for Mac

Trying to install NIS 5 for mac 10.8 and keep getting message:

Norton cannot be installed on this disk because the following incompatible product(s) are installed:  

Norton Personal Firewall

Norton  Internet Security

You must uninstall the opther product(s) before installation can be performed.

I uninstalled the prior version and did a search on the computer for anything Norton...nothing comes up.  Any ideas?

Since you ran the uninstaller, it is strange that anything would be detected by the NIS 5 installer.  I assume you restarted after uninstalling (if not, you could try that).

Otherwise, your best bet is probably to try using the tool here, and then trying to install again:

    ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/tools/mactools/RemoveSymantecMacFiles.zip
