Norton One is a new premium protection product that combines protection for Mac, Windows and Android mobile devices into a single product. Devices covered by Norton One will be able to run, as appropriate, "Norton 360 v6 for Windows", "Norton Internet Security v5 for Mac", and Norton Mobile Security for Android.

Hi,
Does it mean that it's the same if I purchase and install the "NIS 2012 For Windows" & "NIS 5 For Mac"? What's the advantages of buying Norton One from getting both NIS for Windows and Mac sepreately ?
I use iPhone, is it supported by Norton One?
Thanks.

Hi EDLIU,
Welcome . I hope until now you have protected thecomputers by buying software licenses and subscriptions for every computer and the devices you owned. But Norton one is different where it gives you a single exclusive membership that covers every device you own. Norton one license will support the below products.
1.Norton 360 V 6.0
2.Norton Internet security V.2012
3.Norton Mobile security V2.7
4.Norton Internet Security for Mac V5
It allows users to manage 5 devices under Norton one license. It could be your PC,MAC computers or your Android mobiles. The Virus support is free exclusively for the Norton one customers. Please visit this link Norton1 for more information.

Hi Ed
You are not seeing the bigger picture with the Norton One. If you purchase Norton License for a Windows Computer, you can only use it on Windows based computers only. Same applies to the MAC based Norton Products License. But in Norton One you can seamlessly replace devices. Below are the benifits you get from Norton One:

Hi,
So it's March 22nd, but I still haven't seen "Norton One" in the Estore.
BTW, If i purchase NIS v2012 For Windows for "3 years" linceses, will it automatically update or upgrade if "Windows 8 is out"? And same for the NIS v5 For Mac if "Mountain Lion" is released?
Thanks.
Ed
ps. I have TWO MACs & TWO WINDOWS, & an iPhone, and that's it. And would be appreciated if you can show me why Norton One is better for me.

Hi Ed,
I do not have the exact details, but as posted on the website for Norton One (www.norton.com/NortonOne) the release date for Norton One on E-store has been moved to 4th of April. Please check the website for more details.
Yes, (when you buy a 3 year pack) Soon after a new OS update is relased, Norton would also update it's product for that update, and you are eligible to update to the latest version compatible with that OS. (You would get a pop-up notification, whenever a product update is available, if you did not notice that, you can go to http://updatecenter.norton.com/ and check the latest availble update availble for a your norton product.
+as Subash has already explained, since you have 2 Mac + 2 windows computers you will have to buy 1 norton product for windows + 1 norton product for Mac , whereas in case you buy Norton One, you get protection for all of these with just one purchase + all those premium features explained earlier.

Norton One is right now availble on invitation basis only. And yes it only works on latest versions of Norton Products. NIS 2012 for windows and NIS 5 for mac are the latest product for those Operating systems , and so Norton One as of now supports them.
