Every time I change from one page to another using Safari, I get an error message that says "Norton Confidential is still scanning" and below that says "Norton Confidential has not finished inspecting this page for fraud. Are you sure you want to submit this information?" Then asks me to click on either Cancel or Continue. It's really getting annoying having to click on this drop down window when pages are either changed or updated. Any advice?

Did this start happening after a particular update?
What version of the operating system, Safari, and NIS are you currently using?

No particular update that I am aware of. Safari Ver 5.0.6 and NIS 2.1.1 (5)

I am experiencing the same problem. My question is, what exactly does each of these button options--"Cancel" and "Continue" do? Am I canceling or continuing to have Norton scan the pages? Someone please clarify. Thank you.

Sorry for any inconvenience. We'll get back to you with some answers.
Meanwhile, can you please provide the following version info?....

Norton FireWall version
Norton Confidential version
Thanks

Hello, End of rope with the same issue as original poster. Have a Mac running OS X 10.6.8 and
Safari 5.0.5 with the Comcast version of Norton Anti-Virus 11.2.2(3)
Can you tell me how to disable and /or uninstall?
Much Thanks ahead of time

There is an Uninstaller in /Applications/Symantec Solutions.

Instead of uninstalling, you can always disable the feature. In Norton QuickMenu, select Norton Confidential, and choose "Disable Phishing Protection". Altneratively, open the Norton Confidential application and click on the Phishing Protection tab, then deselect the Enabled button.
Unfortunately a change was made to Safari that causes this alert to come up pretty frequently. We've identified the error but since we don't plan on changing Norton Internet Security 4 at the moment, there's not much we can do. We are still evaluating our options. Norton Internet Security 5 does not have this issue in Firefox.
