Every time I engage an app within Firebox, Readability, used for online articles, NAV generates a security dialogue for Readability.com via "Site Safety." Is there a way I prevent this without turning the feature off in NAV completely. This is a very popular app and I'm not sure why NAV has an issue.

Ok, it sounds like you have Norton Internet Security installed, not Norton AntiVirus. In that case, the Site Safety message you are seeing is from Norton SafeWeb, a feature of Norton Internet Security. This feature warns you when you are visiting a malicious or fraudulent Web site.
You can view the full report at safeweb.norton.com, but basically readability.com has hosted malware in the past. Most likely their Web servers were hacked (indicating they lack proper security measures on their Web site) and the servers were changed to host a phishing Web site.
You can ignore the message if you are certain the Web site is safe. Norton SafeWeb works on a community reputation basis; if a Norton customer gets a virus or has their identity stolen while visiting a Web site, we collect the Web site the customer was visiting and scan it with Norton SafeWeb. If Norton SafeWeb encounters the same threat that our customers are seeing, then we warn customers about the threat.
