Subscription problem.

NAV 11.x is now prompting me to purchase a new subscription. If I go ahead, and do this, I'm assuming that the "license" will be downlpaded onto my computer, in some hidden location, and will allow me to get NAV updates for another year. My question / problem is this: How do I reinstall NAV, and get the rest of the year of updates (that I just purchaed) when I reformat my machine?

Thanks!

Re: Subscription problem.

If you reinstall NAV on a freshly formatted volume, it will be as when you first installed, so there will be a year's subscription included.

Re: Subscription problem.

If I understand you correctly: If I plan on reinstllaing on a freshly formatted drive, I shouldn't renew my subscription yet. Correct?

Thanks.

Re: Subscription problem.

Technically, it doesn't matter, because you will get a year's subscription either way.  The subscription is not retained on a re-format, so it is as if you are doing your first install.  I guess it does make more sense to wait, though, so that you would have the new subscription rather than the default (included) one.

This model will change in an upcoming version, by the way.
