After instlling the Norton Anti-virus software, I keep getting a pop-up that freezes my screen telling me that Live Update wants to use the Symantec keychain. I have to click Cancel 10-15 times to get rid of it. None of the passwords I have set for this computer will work for that keychain. Can you help?
Thanks!

Hi 1psmith,
I can see that you have Symantec Keychain issue. It seems to be that, this issue might occur - If you migrate the Norton Program to a different machine. I request you to go through this link and let me know the result.

I did not use Migration assistant, but downloaded directly from Comcast.
Do you know of another fix?
Thanks.

Hi 1psmith,
I understand that you have downloaded directly from comcast. However, the Symantec Antivirus for Mac (corporate) shares a code base with Norton Antivirus for Macintosh (NAV for Mac, consumer). An entry is written for a subscription keychain even though is not used for corporate. Over installing of Symantec Antivirus sometimes cause this issue. The exact root cause is not known at this time.
The alternate steps that you can try is removing the Symantec entry via the Keychain app (Applications\Utilities) should resolve the issue. This entry should appear in the upper left corner under Keychains.
If the entry is not present, please use the following consumer tool. Expand the .zip file, then double click on the .command file. It will open a Terminal window. Put your administrative password in when prompted (it will not echo on screen). It will then complete with no further prompts.
