Hi,
Based on feedback from Mac users we decided to pull down the Mac client and make some changes. We'll make improvements to the flow and user experience before reposting the Mac client again. No target date yet but most likely in the next couple of weeks.
Regards,
Albert

Seems like a valid thing to do, but the website should be updated to remove the mac download, or at the least when you click the mac download there should be an explanation. Also, I did install NIS on a windows machine. Oddly once I have done that and register, I don't really need to have it installed. With the exception of cards I can access all of the functionality via the web interface. So my question is, why not let people at least register without having to install on a machine. Sure I won't argue that the installed experience is better, but the web interface is a nice way to get started until there is a mac version.
My other disappointment is the limitations of the ipad app. It is great if you have already populated our account with everything you need, but most of the time I'm using sites with logins I'm on my ipad, and it is a pain to go somewhere else to setup a site vs. on the ipad. But I thought, no problem, i will just use the web interface to the NIS site vs. the ipad app to do this. It looks like it is going to work, I log in and just see my cards pop up (or outline of them) and I get thrown this "Use our ipad app site. I so no, I want to stay here, and instead of putting me back where I was it throws me back at a sign in screen. When I sign in same thing happens, caught in endless loop. Why go out of your way to not let me use the site, in particular when the ipad app is missing key functions.
Lastly, on the support side, from both the NIS site and the app (developer page on itunes) it was very tough to find help. Took a lot of searching and 30 minutes on chat to realize the community forum is where I should be. This should be made more clear.
Just in my view, I'm less concerned with mac version that I am with support for ipad (to edit and add new sites). While I'd like it in the app, I'd be fine if just the web portal was fixed. I'll probably give it a month or so but will go somewhere else if this feature doesn't come.

I agree with this sentiment.
In fact, given that there is no indication anywhere that the Mac version has been (temporarily) withdrawn, I went through three or four go-arounds with support before an "escalation" finally returned the information that it was not yet available. That the download page has code to emit the download link pointing to the "osNotSupported" page, rather than an explicit message about the status of the product doesn't increase my confidence in this application.

I totally agree with all sentiments expressed above. I now use Norton Identity Safe on my PC and therefore wanted to use it also on my iPhone. After numerous attempts to download the ios app and getting the message "your OS not supported", I finally learned via a Norton Community post that the ios app had been pulled by Norton. Why not therefore update your download links for the mobile app to remove the ios option (especially since you don't know when it will be ready for release again)? I will also probably give it one month. If it's not read by then, I'll go to something that works on iPhone, like 1Password. Certainly does not give me confidence in Norton products (and I'm a long time Norton user on my PC). What's up with you guys?

The iOS version has been re released. It should be available soon. See the following post.

OK I see the iOS version is up and have downloaded it.... But... It tells me that I need to set up Identity Safe on a Mac or PC first, and it's now September 10 and stil getting the broken links on your ID Safe pages. Very, very frustrating that it took almost forty five minutes of digging around the forums to find out that you pulled it back in May.
