how to tell if I have the latest version

Hi,

My school provides me norton antivirus, but when I install and look in the options it does not say NAV 11. Since I am running Snow Leopard and Norton seems to work I think this must be correct but am curious about the inconsistency.

When I go to "About" I have Version 10.2.3(25). Thanks for your help!

Re: how to tell if I have the latest version

If this is the About box from the Norton Antivirus application, then it does sound like you have an older version.  The application itself may work fine, but some other components (in particular, AutoProtect) are probably not loaded.

If you look at the QuickMenu (yellow and black Symantec logo toward the right of the menu bar), does it show a green shield for AutoProtect or NAV (I don't recall the exacr wording in that version)?

Re: how to tell if I have the latest version

It was pointed out to me (thanks, Michael) that you are probably running SAV (Symantec AntiVirus) rather then NAV (Norton AntiVirus).  Assuming that's the case, 10.2.3 (25) is the latest version of SAV.  In fact, there was no NAV 10.2.3, so that seems most likely to be true.  Sorry for my memory lapse.
