"Avalanche Syndicate" BOT Removal on MAC

Comcast indicates I have the "Avalanche Syndicate" bot and Norton Antivirus Software has not detected it.  So Short of wiping my harddrive and reinstalling everything, what can I do without paying for support?  Is there a remote removal tool or online scanner that can remove this bot?
