After reinstalling Norton Ghost 15, how to reinstate old backup definitions

I've had to reinstall Norton Ghost 15. The new installation does not know/realize the re-installation (I didn't expect it to). How can I point it to my previous backup location (still available on separate hard drive) and backup definition (still the same computer and directory/disk structure)

Re: After reinstalling Norton Ghost 15, how to reinstate old backup definitions

If we are talking Recovery Points, You probably do not want to do that. Just define a new backup and don't worry about the history. You don't need it to recover your PC.

If you really want to try to import your history and have a valid Recovery Point...

Start > Run > Type "services.msc".

Stop the Norton Ghost service.

Open the last valid Recovery Point and find the folder C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Norton Ghost\History - restore everything.

If you want your backup job, restore the folder C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Norton Ghost\Schedule.

Now either restart the Norton Ghost service or reboot the PC.

It should be back the way it was.
