Hello
I've created several image files using ghost 15, for various points in my usage of the PC. for example, one raw image after install of windows, another one after installing basic apps and updates, and another one after adding more apps.
i know i can create one image file with several restore points in it, but i prefer to have them separate.
the problem is with how ghost decides to name the .v2i files...can i safely rename the v2i files in windows explorer without worrying about my backup? if not, is there a way to rename from within ghost?

That's what I do. There probably is a way in Ghost but I don't do it that way.

I never figured out how to use ghost to rename them and using ghost to "copy" them into another image file with a different name is a long process.
But when your making the image you can specify a name.
When you are making a "one time backup" it's on the same screen you choose the destination.

If it is one file, then a rename is OK. If you have incrementals, I wouldn't count on it working.
