Cannot connect to itunes store

Hi -- I am running norton Security suite and cannot connect to the itunes store. I don't get any message, but the status bar in the store just stop and dumps me out. I've tried turning off the firewall and reinstalling NSS. I've tried taling to Apple, but they have verified that things are working on their end.

Any other ideas?

thanks

Re: Cannot connect to itunes store

Can i know the results of what you have done ?

Was it working after disabling the smart firewall ?

Was it working after uninstalling the product ?

Also would like to know if you have any other antivirus products like Mcafee,Microsoft security essentials or zone alarm installed in your computer .

If yes, please go ahead and remove them and check.

Thanks

Re: Cannot connect to itunes store

It was not working after I turned off the firewall or uninstalled the product.  I have spyware doctor but it is disabled. Do I need to completely uninstall that?

Re: Cannot connect to itunes store

If the issue remains unresolved even after uninstalling the Norton product,we can confirm that the issue is not created by Norton.

I guess it should be an issue with itunes.Though the issue remains unresolved for you,by uninstalling Norton we by now should think of other ways to get the issue fixed.

Check if you have the latest version of itunes. If not, please upgrade to the latest version.

Re: Cannot connect to itunes store

It's not recomended to run Spyware Doctor with Norton, so yes to uninstalling it. Is this a wireless connection? Do you have a router or modem with a firewall in it to turn off?

Re: Cannot connect to itunes store

Sorry, forgot to add, even a disabled antivirus and/or firewall can conflict with another one, as their services can still be plugged into the Windows resources which Norton uses.
