You can (Disk Management or DiskPart) but I never do it from there so I can't help.

That is sorted now cheers. Now for part 2 of my story I need to update my other PC with the kit I have taken out of my current system. I currently have Vista (I hate Vista). Can I use my Win 7 one time back up and put it on another HDD on my system I am due to build ???

You can use your Ghost CD to restore your current Win7 image to unallocated space on a HD in your other computer. There is a good chance that it will boot on the first attempt without needing "manipulation". Once into Windows the OS will automatically install drivers for most of your hardware. You might have to manually install a few drivers. You will be presented with the Microsoft Activation message too.

Regarding having no mouse in BIBM. You have a new MB with a different BIOS from the previous MB. Sometimes BIBM can't get a USB mouse working with the BIOS.

I don't use Disk Management much any more. I didn't realize (until a few days ago in the Elder thread) that you can't create a fourth standard primary partition in Win7 Disk Management. You have to create an Extended Primary partition. This limitation is not present in WinXP Disk Management.

Hi Brian got both GC working now I think I got my set up fine see attachment. My WIn 7 is a OEM so should be fine I hope!!!

Disk 1 does not show up in Win 7 as it is a Mac OSX drive.

You got me confused with your last statement

Dale, how much faster (subjectively) is the SSD?

It is so different I saw the difference when I goy it running on my old system. But now I got i7 chip 16 gb of ram and a 6gb sata for the ssd it is instant in nearly everything.
