Configuring Ghost 10 not to load at boot

I've used this product for several years and never could figure out how to do this inside the program.  I ended up using a 3rd party program to alter the startup.  Well, I've done a XP spring cleaning reinstall and can't remember the little shareware proggie that I used.  This means that I need to figure out how to manually square Ghost to do what I want.  (BTW, I've looked in the Startup folder and it wasn't there.)  My system is located within a Computer Armoire.  This is why I don't have an external HD always connected.  Because I have to open & close up my setup each time I want to use it, I only need Ghost to take images on an irregular basis.  This is why I want a manual load up

Re: Configuring Ghost 10 not to load at boot

I disable the Norton Ghost service.

Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services-look for Norton Ghost

Select properties and set to disable.

When I want to do a Ghost I go back and set the service to Automatic, do the Ghost and then disable again.

Re: Configuring Ghost 10 not to load at boot

Well, thanks for the attempt.  However, it did not work.  The tray icon still loads (with a little x now) and I receive popups telling me that the sservice is no longer connected and so on.  I infer from this that the program still loads at boot.  It is just not connect as a service.

AAny other ideas?
