Disk Space Usage Not Correct (Norton Online Backup - NOBU)

My account says "21.65GB of 25Gb used".

However, the total backup size on disk from two computers is 16.66GB (Computer 1: 10.32GB, Computer 2: 6.34GB).

My backups settings have remained unchanged for many months (no new sources or filed extensions have been added).

Also, there appears to be no way to purge past versions of files.

Others have posted identical or similar issues to this forum with no apparent resolution (at least not one that Norton has made public).

Please do not tell me to delete my computers and then re-add them back into NOBU. That is not an acceptable solution because it would need to be done repeatedly in the future (whenever this situation arises).

Sincerely,

Steve Greenwalt (account: sgreenwalt)

Re: Disk Space Usage Not Correct (Norton Online Backup - NOBU)

Adding to my previous post (still unanswered, by the way):

In order to free up storage space, I have been purging various folders.  But, the amount stored in the purged folders is not equallying the amount of SPACE freed up in my account.  Also, still . . . the total amount of data on both computers is still way below the amount of space that my account shows used space.  Some answer from Norton/Symantec would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hello Steve

I'll be sending you a private message asking for some details. I'll be able to help figure out the quota issue. It may be related to a failed backup or a purge that may not have fully completed.
