Does not display stored IE passwords at logins

Was recently advised by Comcast to go to 'Internet Options' -. 'Advanced' -> and click 'Reset.'  This cleared the Comcast problem, but ever since, Norton 360 does not display stored passwords at logins.  I checked, they are still stored.....they display as usual with Firefox......I have viewed them still there at 'Manage Logins'............they just won't display when the login pages arise.

Re: Does not display stored IE passwords at logins

Hi,

Is the toolbar enabled in the browser? If not, just right click on the Menu bar area and just select Norton Toolbar from the list of Addons.

If its already enabled from the list of Addons(Tools->Manage Addons) and not visible, just goto Tools->Internet Options->Advanced - under Browser settings and make sure to select the "Enable third party browser extensions" option.

Please try and do let us know.

Regards,

Prasanna

Re: Does not display stored IE passwords at logins

I too am having trouble with Comcast Norton -- the Norton toolbar does not show up in the toolbars and my stored logins do not appear.  I tried what you suggested to the other user, but Norton did not show up in any of the "Tools" places so that I could enable it.  I have the third-party browser checked, Norton is not shown when I go to "Manage Add-ons".  However, if I somehow get to IE through my Norton Security Suite icon, the Norton toolbar is there.  What am I doing wrong?

I will asssume you are talking about IE9.  My first qustion is are you using the 32 bit IE 9 or the 64 bit version?

To find out , in IE9, click on Help and then About.  You'll see the following:

IE9ABout.PNG

If the area within the circle is blank, then you are using the 32 bit version.  If the area within the circle display 64 bit, you are in fact on the 64 bit version of IE 9 which at the present time is not compatable with the Norton Toolbar.

If you have the 64 bit version you need to change to the 32 bit version.  To do so, Click on Start > type Internet Explorer in to teh search box and the first entry for Internet Explorer is the 32 bit version.  Regardless of you system being 64 bit or not, you must use the 32 bit version in order to have the Norton Toolbar displayed.

Hope this clears things up for  you - please keep us posted!
