Other Norton Products

I am running Microsoft Windows XP, SP3, Home Edition Version 2002. I am having a problem with Norton Security Suite 5.1.0.29. I have run Live Update many times and the virus definitions never update, I get  Error: 8920,201. I followed the instructions and re-booted my computer and re-ran Live Update many times. I removed the program and re-installed it with the same results. I ran Live Update and re-booted my computer many times. I tried using the NRnR.exe tool but got the message: Failed to detect any Norton product that could be automatically upgraded. Help!

Norton Security Suite is provided by Comcast and the NRnR Tool  not  function with the special program from your ISP.   I suggest you follow the instructions here:

Pplease note that when the popup for Constant Guard Protection Suite, appears, click on the No Thanks button and the Get it Now button will be visible to use for the fresh download of Norton Security Suite.

In regards to the running of liveupdate after installed and activated - I have seen it take up to 6 reboots for it to be totally updated.

Please back with results.

I did as instructed. The program downloaded and installed without any problems. I used Live Update and re-booted over a dozen times. I get an Error: 8920,201 message after every update for the Norton Antivirus definitions. Everything installed leaving only the Norton 2011 Virus Defininitions. I kept updating until there were no more updates available (other than Norton Antivirus definitions). I ran Live Update until it only showed Norton Antivirus as available but it wasn't able to install. I re-booted again and tried to update the antivirus definitions and got the same error message.

Please check and make sure your system time & date are correct.

I never would have thought of that, however it shows 6:57 pm 12/19/2011.
