This is the second time Norton failed to find malware on my computer. Sypbot found Fraud.Sysguard and said it removed it. Is there anything else I need to do like change passwords, reboot, etc.?
Also I tried to run Norton Power Eraser and it is hung up. It keeps saying checking for a newer version. What is the problem. I've Norton products for years, but it doesn't look like they are any good anymore.

Hang behavior of NPE looks like some sort of conflict between NPE and regular Norton Security Product. Try to close the hanged app and rerun it.
Also as workaround you can try to execute this: logman stop "Norton_18_0" -ets(in command prompt - cmd.exe) before launching NPE.
