Re: Getting scared about Norton Ghost 15

Does anyone know if you need another version of Ghost on the computer in order to use the upgrade version or is the upgrade version the same as the full version.  If you do then that would mean we would have to install an incompatible version on Windows 7 before upgrading to 15.0.  Thanks.

Hi Kent10

You need a prior version.

Great!  :)

But... still not in the UK :(

And the 'worldwide' site won't let me select UK as a country to place my order.

Seems I'd be fine in just about all of Europe... except England?

Any idea how long it'll be before the UK store catches up?

There's always a delay in getting new products and even major updates out worldwide because of the number of servers and in some cases massive localization needs.

Have you asked on the UK website?

Hi huw

Not there yet, they are still displaying V14 but it is still early a.m. so they will catch up later one would assume.

Re: Getting scared about Norton Ghost 15

Check with Norton on this with regard to GHOST but if you have any Norton Product you are entitled to the upgrade price on something you do not have!

Symantec Staff have posted about this. I'll try and see if we can get an update on this and on whether a preinstallation is absolutely required -- I would have said it is not or you would not be able to reinstall if you change a hard drive.

Thanks for checking on whether we need a prior version installed huwyngr.  I don't want to have to install Ghost 14 just to be able to install Ghost 15.

Re: Getting scared about Norton Ghost 15

I thought you would have to have 14 installed, but I downloaded the trial of ghost 15 and registered my upgrade key with it and it worked fine and activated.

Thanks EricHilton for that information.  That is good news and makes it convenient for reinstallations.
