This is my first post so 'Hello' ![]()
I have a question that I'm not sure have been answered (hopefully) I am using Norton Ghost 14 with XP Pro.
I have just backed up my new C: using 'Run or Manage backups' which I placed a iso (image) onto my USB drive. This works fine and I can't boot using the recovery disc I got with Ghost.
I also made, what I thought was two DVD recovery discs (like the ones you get when you buy a new P.C) the only problem is they won't work alone or with the Ghost recovery cd.
Any idea what I've done wrong? I would like to have two dvd's in my hands which I can place into my computer at boot up to recovery my C: drive like it was new.
Any ideas?
Cheers
Rob

So I'm guessing by the lack of replys you can't actually do this with ghost
I have backed up the C: drive onto a usb drive
so is there anyway I can burn this iso image (17GB) onto DVD-R's so after I have loaded the recovery disc Ghost will recover from the dvd's

How did you create backup on DVD? Did you use Nero to burn the recovery point (backup) to DVDs? If yes, please create the backup again and select your DVD drive as destination during backup. Norton Ghost has inbuilt capability to directly burn the image onto DVDs which will be recognized in recovery environment.
