Have an HP7-1020 8GB, 3GHZ pc with Nortion Internet Security 2012, and Nortons Ghost 15.0. Recently in the past few months I had serious problem and had to restore my system. When it was complete many programs did not work, including Nortions.
So did uninstall for all Nortons systems and reinstalled. Since that time Ghost on system start up tells me I need to upgrade it, which I do using Help, and UPGRADE. So it tells me all is ok, and just recently I noticed in the top banner when running it I find it tells me I have a TRIAL version running. I can find no place to activate it with my product code from the orginal disc used to install this system. And I also can not schedule any normal saves for the system. Have to do it manually at least when I think of it.
So far all I have found it a message telling me to uninstall and reinstall. Last time I did that it took me two days to get if in the system and at least myt NIS running correctly. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Caleng
GHOST is dealt with in Other Norton Products so I'll ask for your message to be moved over there or better exposure. You won't lose sight of it because a link will be left here.

Hi,
The key for your license should be on the envlope that held the disk when it came out of the box. If you can't find that and have no other copy of it you might contact customer support and see if they can help. They have been great in the past with similar problems.
Keep us posted

I have the product key, but using the Help and About pull downs, I'm not able to re-enter the key. Sytem shows up as TRIAL but I installed it orignially from a purchased disc, through an office supply store. And was able to set it up for automatic saves, but since the last total reinstall, due to a system failure, I've been unable to schedule it, other then running it manually when I think about it. Really do not want to do the removal, and reinstall, as the last time I did it, took me 2 days to get it functioning.

Are you logged in as an administrator to enter the key?

I have never set up anyone but myself as owner and operator for this pc. So I'd gather I'm also and administrator, have not had any other problems. In case I forgot to mention it the OS for my pc is Windows 7 Home Premium, and is uptodate with all current MS patches and all from HP as well.
Thanks for the input.
