I have read that Ghost 15 supports cold imaging from the recovery CD, i.e. without having to install Ghost on the computer. Does that include disk/partition copy (cloning), or only the creation of image files?
In other terms, can I clone a disk partition to another one when booted from the CD, or do I need to install Ghost on the computer to do it?

I used to do it with Ghost 8.2, but it doesn't support today's larger drive sizes (e.g. didn't work with a 1.5Tb disk).

No, partition cloning is not available from the recovery environment. Ghost 15 is the first hot imaging Ghost that has supported creating images from the recovery environment.
