Ghost - still supported?

I'm thinking of coming back to Norton products for AV and backup. I noticed that Ghost isn't listed as a current product on the Symantec site, but that it's still available, if you know where to look. Is Ghost no longer being supported? Will there continue to be new versions for sale in the future?

I'm trying to determine if 360's backup will do what i need it to. I looked on the site but could only find the briefest description of it's functionality ("Safeguards your photos, music and files with automatic backup to an external device or our secured data centers"). That sounds like what Ghost does, but someone in another thread told me that 360's backup and Ghost were made for very different purposes (but refused to't tell me what those purposes are). Can someone give me a brief description of how they're different? What can 360's backup not do compared to Ghost?

Re: Ghost - still supported?

Ghost is still alive. The next version should be released about the same time as Windows 8. I do not use Norton 360, but I'm sure it's backup is only files and folders that probably are uploaded to a server. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

Ghost creates images of your hard drive including the operating system. You can do a restore of the whole computer or just files / folders. If you do get Ghost, be sure to use the backup my computer and skip file and folder backup.
