I'm trying to 'Clone' to a USB 2 external drive.
As soon as the computer enters PC DOS I receive the error: Ghosterr.txt Abort 3600.
Nothing in the Norton 'Help" file is clear on this problem.
Does anyone have a direction I can go to solve this?
Thanks

This means that Ghost does not have access to the destination. A couple questions:
How many USB devices do you have connected? PC DOS has problems when you use more than one.
Why are you trying to clone instead of an image to the USB drive?

I thought Clone is what I wanted to do.
I've tried Clone alone with no other USB and then with the mouse attached.
Do you thing I should try Image instead of Clone for and exact duplicate of the source drive?

Yes. I would image as opposed to clone since the destination is a USB drive. An image is an exact duplicate. It's just compressed into a single image file that you can use to restore.

Followed directions to the letter. Still get Ghosterr.txt Error - Failure
I tried it USB 2 and USB 1.1

What version of Ghost are you using (full version information)? What Operating System? What controllers are you using for your hard drive(s)?

I have Ghost 2003 Full Version.
Windows XP Home
No controllers other than accessing the external drive from 'explorer'.
NTSP or whatever that accronym is for Drive types

The full version would be 2003.x.x.x. If you right click ghost32.exe and check properties you can get it from there. When I say controllers I mean what controllers are on your motherboard. Is your Hard Drive SCSI, IDE, SATA, ATA, SATA2, etc? Is there some reason you are using Ghost 2003 and not one of the newer versions of Ghost?
