If You Are Having Issues With Ghost 14 On Win 7..

Just wanted to share something with the people out there having trouble with Norton Ghost 14 on Windows 7.

I bought Ghost on October 22 on Amazon.com .. unaware that it would never be fully supported for Windows 7.  I have had nothing but problems out of the program on my New Windows 7 Machine.  From blue screens and freezing to corrupt image files and much more.

Today I chat with a Tech Rep and explained my situation and how I cannot use the program correctly on Windows 7 and he issued me a FREE upgrade key to Norton Ghost 15 after I proved that I did buy the program and when/where.

I really appreciate the tech that helped me and hope that you guys can get the same thing done for you if you have the same headache and problems Ghost 14 gave me on Windows 7.

Eric.

Re: If You Are Having Issues With Ghost 14 On Win 7..

Now I understand why you got it free.  In the other thread you didn't mention that you had just bought version 14 so it was a little misleading thinking that those who had v14 and just upgraded to Win7 might get the same deal.  I've had v14 since early 2008, but my system died and I had to get a new computer.  My now dead computer was over seven years old so it was beyond hope anyway.

That was nice of Symantec to give it to you for free so you didn't have to pay again to upgrade.  Returning products for refunds with Amazon isn't exactly easy to do.

I too commend Symantec for doing this under the circumstances. And I am very happy to see that they turned you into a satisfied customer.

In the end, being a satisfied customer is really the most important thing and it is good to see that Symantec recognized this.

Thank you for posting this.

I apologize for jumping in here, but I'd like to clarify why EricHilton1987 was able to receive Norton Ghost 15. EricHilton1987 states that Norton Ghost 14 was purchased on October 22nd, which is well within the 60-day return policy for Norton products. He was able to receive Norton Ghost 15 because his initial purchase was within the 60-day return period, not because of any special deals or upgrades.

I'll be posting some information about Norton Ghost 15 shortly, along with details about upgrades and special deals. Thanks!

Tony, does this mean if I purchased Ghost 14 yesterday that I can receive a key to install Ghost 15 if I contact Symantec?
