Kongregate .sol files

After recently updating the free version that of Security Suite that Comcast users receive for free, my son went back to the game website Kongregate to start playing his games again. However, the computer has now decided it would be a good idea to start deleting all .sol files that are saved under the specific Kongregate folder. I have already set the folders to be excluded from the Scans and the Auto-protect and Sonar Detection, yet they still keep being deleted. I was wondering if there may be anywhere else that I will have to exclude the files from. I am currently running the most updated version of Firefox, and have did not have this problem before receiving the last major update for Norton Security Suite(which was a month ago or so I believe...)

Re: Kongregate .sol files

I wonder if this issue is also causing my son's problems with Club Penguin.  He is unable to log into the game, gets stuck at player log in.

Re: Kongregate .sol files

Hi Bob_Sandal,

Can you please post the version of the security product you are running?

Can you tell us how you found out that the security product deleted the .sol files? Did these files show up on the scan results page or did you look elsewhere?

I was trying to reproduce this issue, in-house, but couldn't do so. I just want to be sure i have a setup similar to yours.

Thanks,

Siddharth

Bob_Sandal: Are these happening in Kongregate games or just specific ones? If not on all of them, then please kindly provide the URLs to them that have problems that you mentioned. Also, be sure you got all LiveUpdates and rebooted when requested.

FYI, I did a quick check with http://www.kongregate.com/games/EdgebeeStudios/swords-potions (didn't play its game) in Firefox v6.0.2 with the latest Adobe Flash player plugin/addon and LiveUpdated Comcast NSS v4.3.0.5 in Windows XP Pro. SP3 (256 MB of RAM). It would be nice to know what versions, edition, bits (32/64) of Windows. Also, which Comcast NSS version? I was unable to reproduce the symptoms like Siddharth.
