Live Update Freezes

Hello, I`m using Norton Security Online provided by BT Yahoo. Online protection.

Okay. Everytime I click on the "Run Liveupdate" it downloads all relevent files, begins to install, then `always` freezes on:

"Installing Firewall Program Updates (1 of 1), Finished Decompressing"

Nothing happens once it freezes. I have downloaded the latest update file and installed it. :manmad:

Re: Live Update Freezes

Do you receive any error message before it freezes? Try the steps in the document LiveUpdate freeze

Re: Live Update Freezes

No. Only the above.
I`ve searched for the Error reports on Symantec, but they don`t have seem to have them. I`ve only just installed this today as part of a deal with BTYAHOO. I previously had Kaspersky Internet Security,  which run OK. But I thought I would uninstall Kaspersky and give this a try, mmm.

Anyway thanks for your info.

Re: Live Update Freezes

No good. I`ve been trying for hours to rectify the problem. Even Symantec could not help. So I`ve decided to uninstall the complete Norton setup and go back to Kaspersky, at least that works and does not freeze my computer.

Thanks for trying, but it seems Norton is not for me.
